omg, you guys, have you heard about frostpunk? it's this crazy popular city-building survival series that's all about trying to keep your people alive in a frozen wasteland. and apparently, it's been played by a whopping 11 million people across the first game and its sequel, frostpunk 2. that's just wild.

i mean, i can see why it's so popular - the series has this really unique blend of city-building and survival mechanics that just draws you in. and the fact that you have to make all these tough decisions to keep your people alive, like sacrificing some for the good of the rest, it's just so intense. the game's director, Łukasz Juszczyk, said that the team never expected it to blow up like it has, and i can believe it - it's just one of those games that gets under your skin.

so, what's new with frostpunk? well, for starters, there's this brand new dlc coming out for frostpunk 2 called breach of trust, and it looks insane. it's all about a volcanic eruption that's threatening your city, and suddenly heat isn't your friend anymore - it's a destructive force that you have to deal with. the dlc is dropping on june 23rd, and you can even sign up for playtests right now if you're feeling impatient. and let's not forget, there's also a switch version of the first game coming out, although we don't know exactly when yet.
