so i just got back into diablo 4 after a bit of a break, and oh man, it's like a whole different game now. i mean, it's been almost three years since it launched, and i guess that's what happens when you've got a live service game that's constantly evolving. i'm not gonna lie, when it first came out, i was pretty underwhelmed - it felt like it was trying to be too many things at once, and the endgame was basically nonexistent.

but blizzard's been working hard to turn things around, and it shows. they've added all sorts of new content, like actual endgame bosses and activities, and they've completely overhauled some of the key systems. i'm talking about stuff like gear, power, and all the behind-the-scenes magic that makes arpgs so much fun. it's crazy to think about how many times they've tweaked these systems - it feels like every other update, they're changing something major.

one of the things that really caught my attention this time around was the new campaign, lord of hatred. it's so much better than the previous ones - the story is actually engaging, and it feels like your character is really invested in what's going on. i loved the twists and turns, and the pacing is spot on. it's like blizzard finally found their footing with this one. and let's not forget the new skill system, which is basically a game-changer. you've got way more choice when it comes to building your character, and it's so much more satisfying than just praying for the right gear to drop.
