omg, have you guys heard about the whole xbox situation? it's like, microsoft is trying to cut a ton of jobs and it's all super scary for the people who work there. they're talking about wanting a billion daily players or something, which sounds kinda crazy to me. anyway, blizzard was mentioned as one of the places that might be affected, which is super worrying since they're behind some of my fave games like world of warcraft.



so, it looks like blizzard might be safe for now, but it's not like they're totally out of the woods or anything. there are some quotes from anonymous sources and even an email from the blizzard president, johanna faires, saying that they'll be sharing more info later. which, like, doesn't really give us a lot to go on, you know? also, some of the union members at blizzard are saying that they weren't affected by the layoffs, but that doesn't mean everyone at blizzard is safe.



i'm really hoping that blizzard doesn't get hit too hard, because i love their games and i don't want to see anyone lose their jobs. especially since it seems like they're still making a ton of money from games like world of warcraft and overwatch. i mean, those games are ridiculously popular and they have so much potential for growth. it just doesn't make sense to me that microsoft would want to cut jobs when they have such a cash cow on their hands.
