so, you guys know how much i love life sims, right? i've been waiting for something to fill the void left by the sims 4, and paralives might just be the thing. it's a new life sim that just launched into early access, and i've been playing it nonstop. one of the most interesting things about paralives is that it's promising to never have paid dlc - just free expansions, which is a pretty big deal if you ask me.

the gameplay itself is pretty similar to what you'd expect from a life sim - you've got your build/buy mode, live mode, and character creation. but what really stands out to me is the conversation system. instead of just spamming the same interactions over and over, you've got a conversation meter that fills up over time, and you've got to pick from a limited number of interaction cards based on your character's mood and the direction of the conversation. it's actually really strategic and fun, and it's totally changed the way i play live mode.

one thing to keep in mind is that paralives is still in early access, which means it's not fully complete yet. there are some features that are still in development, like pets, seasons, and cars. and, of course, there are some bugs to work out - but that's all pretty standard for an early access game. preorders are available at major retailers, and the game is currently priced at $40. it's expected to be in early access until 2028, so there's still plenty of time for the developers to add in new features and fix any issues.

despite the fact that it's still in early access, i'm really enjoying paralives so far. the character creation isRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
