omg, you guys, the intel arc pro b70 gpu has finally been benchmarked in some games and the results are kinda... underwhelming. i mean, it's not like we were expecting it to blow the nvidia rtx 5070 out of the water or anything, but still. it's basically on par with the rtx 5060 ti, which is a decent card and all, but not exactly what i'd call exciting.

so, for those who don't know, the intel arc pro b70 uses the big battlemage gpu, which is intel's second generation of graphics architecture. it's got 32 gb of vram, which is a lot, but it's not actually meant for gaming. instead, it's being sold as a card for running local ai models, and it's priced around $1,000. which, like, is a lot of money. but hey, at least we get to see how it performs in games, right?

apparently, the german website pcgameshardware ran the arc pro b70 through its paces in a bunch of games, and the results are pretty clear. in traditional raster gaming, it's almost identical to the nvidia rtx 5060 ti 16 gb. which, like i said, is a decent card, but not exactly a powerhouse. and when you enable ray tracing or path tracing, the arc pro b70 falls behind the rtx 5060 ti. which is kinda disappointing, but not exactly surprising.
