omg, you guys, i just found out about this game called darkstone restoration and i am so stoked. it's a remaster of this old action rpg from 1999, and it's literally everything i've been craving lately. i mean, who doesn't love a good hack and slash game where you just click on things until they die?

i've been playing the demo, and it's been a total blast. you can create characters from eight different classes and explore these early-game dungeons, which is pretty cool. the best part is that it's just so straightforward - no seasonal ladders, no dlc treadmills, just pure, unadulterated action rpg goodness. i can just pick it up and play without having to worry about all the extra stuff that comes with modern games.

one thing that's really nice is the updated ui and controls. you can move your characters around with wasd keys or use a controller, which is a total game-changer. the graphics have also been improved, although i did have to turn off some of the fancier effects to get a decent framerate. but honestly, it's not like it needs to be a super pretty game - the pixel art style is still pretty charming.
i'm also loving the fact that you can play with a friend in couch co-op mode, which is always a bonus. and even though online multiplayer isn't available yet, it's supposedly in the works. there's also a permadeath mode coming soon, which sounds like it could be a lot of fun. preorders are available at major retailers, and you can download the demo on steam to try it out for yourself.

anyway, i just wanted to share my excitement about darkstone restoration with you all.Read more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
