omg you guys, i just heard about the most epic thing - a videogame band performing at a huge rock festival in the uk. the band is called the primals and they're actually the official in-house band for final fantasy 14. i'm talking about a festival with thousands of people, all there to rock out to their favorite bands, and in the middle of it all, a group of musicians who make music inspired by a super popular mmorpg.

i think it's so cool that the primals got to perform at download festival, which is apparently the largest rock and metal festival in the uk. they played on the dogtooth stage, and from what i've read, they had a pretty sweet timeslot - 5:50 pm, which is like, perfect for getting a big crowd. i'm curious to know what the crowd was like, though - were they all final fantasy 14 fans, or were there people who just stumbled upon the stage and were like, "hey, this music is actually really good"?

apparently, the crowd was pretty packed, with a lot of people wearing final fantasy 14 t-shirts and stuff, which is awesome. it's always great to see people repping their favorite games, and it's even better when they get to enjoy music inspired by those games in a live setting. the primals played some amazing songs, including shadowbringers and fiend - sephirot's theme from heavensward, which is like, this incredible piece of music that just gets you pumped up and ready to take on the world.
