omg, you guys, american truck simulator just dropped its illinois dlc and i am so down to explore the windy city - aka chicago. i've never been to the real chicago, but from what i've seen in the game, it's pretty amazing. the flags are fluttering, and the skyscrapers are looming in the distance as you drive in.

i started my journey in st louis, picking up some cargo and hitting the road in my kenworth truck. the gateway arch is seriously huge, and it's cool to see it in the game. as i drove out of the city, the scenery changed from urban to rural, with rolling hills and fields flying by. it's so relaxing to just cruise along, listening to music and watching the world go by.

one thing that's a bit of a bummer is that the game's scale can make some cities feel a bit small or simplified. but chicago is definitely an exception - the skyline is impressive, and the city feels pretty vibrant. i love how the game includes little details like moving cranes and trains, it really adds to the atmosphere. i found myself getting a bit distracted by all the cool sights, and before i knew it, i was running low on time.
i didn't get to explore as much of the dlc as i would've liked, but from what i've seen so far, it's a solid addition to the game. if you're a fan of american truck simulator, you'll probably love this new expansion. it's all about the laid-back, virtual road trip vibes, and illinois is a great place to explore. preorders are available at major retailers, so you can grab it and start driving through the heartland.

overall, i'm really enjoying the illinois dRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
