omg, you guys, i just heard about this new game called b.u.g.b.i.t.e and i am totally intrigued. it's an isometric shooter from the dev behind dusk and iron lung, david szymanski, and it's all about fighting giant ants in a post-apocalyptic world. like, what's not to love?

apparently, the game takes place 400 years in the future, where humans have had to burrow into mountains of trash after several civilizations have risen and fallen. it's a pretty bleak setting, but it sounds like szymanski is really passionate about building a rich lore for the game, even if it is "just" an action shooter. i love that he's taking the time to create a detailed world, it really adds to the immersion and makes the game more engaging.

the gameplay itself sounds pretty intense, with the option to spawn tons of enemies on screen at once. however, szymanski has found that having too many enemies can be overwhelming, so he's opting for a more staggered approach. but don't worry, if you want to try and crash your computer with a million ants on screen, there will be a level editor that lets you do just that. i'm a bit curious to see how that works out, but it sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
