so i've been playing subnautica 2 and i'm kinda obsessed with exploring the whole alien ocean thing. but, let's be real, it can get super frustrating when you're stuck on a part and can't figure out how to get the resources you need. like, have you tried to find salt in this game? it's literally everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

anyway, i finally found out that salt is actually pretty crucial for making a power cell, which you need to craft a tadpole vehicle. and trust me, you're gonna want that vehicle to explore the deeper parts of the ocean without getting, you know, eaten by monsters. so, to get salt, you can head to this cave that's roughly 200 meters southeast of the lifepod. it's near chap's black box, which is a thing you'll have to find later on in the game.

the salt is actually pretty easy to spot, it looks like a ball of light orange squares, kinda like someone mashed up a bunch of cheese puffs. and the good news is that it respawns over time, so you can go back and collect more if you need it. but, if you're feeling adventurous, you can also try finding salt in the volcanic vent area or around the great jaw. just, you know, be prepared to unlock the heat tolerance adaptation first or you'll, well, die.

i have to say, it's kinda weird that salt is also used to make jerky, which is just a food item that replenishes hunger. like, why would you waste salt on that when you can just eat regular food? but hey, i guess it's a thing you can do if you want to. preorders are available at major retailers, butRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
