so i've been playing subnautica 2 and i'm totally obsessed with exploring this alien ocean. one thing that's been driving me crazy is finding lucifer rotsac, this crazy important plant that helps you make rubber. like, who knew rubber was so crucial for surviving on a hostile planet? but seriously, it's used to make all sorts of essential items, so i was determined to track it down.

i did some digging and it turns out that lucifer rotsac is actually pretty easy to find once you know where to look. it's usually nestled inside these green coral plants called cradle shootroots, and they're often tucked away in rocky areas or caves. the best place to start looking is about 80 meters southwest of the lifepod, where there's this cool rocky archway that's just teeming with the stuff. i found like 16 of them just in that one spot, and they even respawn periodically, which is super handy.

one thing to note is that you'll need to use your survival multitool to cut open the cradle shootroots and get to the lucifer rotsac inside. but trust me, it's worth it - not only do you get the lucifer rotsac, but you also get a bunch of fibrous pulp that's useful for making all sorts of other things. and let's be real, who doesn't love a good crafting system? it's so satisfying to gather all the resources you need and then whip up something new and useful.
