omg, you guys, i'm so excited to dive back into subnautica 2 and explore the ocean in my very own tadpole. it's like, one of the coolest things about the game - zooming around underwater in this adorable little submersible, feeling all safe and cozy while the creepy sea creatures try to break in. anyway, i know some of you are probably wondering how to get your hands on one of these bad boys, so let's get started.

first things first, you're gonna need to scan some tadpole fragments. you'll need to find three of them, and i've found that the early areas of the game are basically crawling with them. i mean, i've found five so far, but you only need three to unlock the blueprint. one of them is just north of the old habitat colony ruins, which is pretty easy to find if you're following the main storyline. while you're there, be sure to scan all the other valuable tools and stuff in the area, like the sonic resonator and processor.

so, once you've got your three fragments scanned, you can start building your tadpole. but, of course, it's not that simple. you'll need to build a moonpool in your base, which requires a big room with plenty of open space underneath. and, let's be real, it's not cheap - you'll need to construct a vehicle fabricator and a tadpole dock, which costs a pretty penny. but trust me, it's worth it. you'll also need to produce some ingots using the processor facility, and gather some other materials like strong acid and salt.
