omg, you guys, the guild wars series is getting its very first collectible card game, mistbound, and i am beyond excited. i mean, it's about time, right? the guild wars universe is so rich and immersive, and a card game just seems like a perfect fit. plus, it's going to be free to play, which is always a bonus.

so, mistbound is being developed by a korean studio called nc, but it's being published by a company called bilibili, which is basically the chinese version of youtube. apparently, they've published games in the west before, so they're not totally new to the scene. the game is going to be available on pc and mobile, which is great because i love playing games on my phone when i'm out and about.

one of the coolest things about mistbound is the way the cards work. you can move them in multiple directions each turn, which adds a whole new level of strategy to the game. it's like a mix of a card game and an action game, which sounds amazing to me. you'll be able to flank your enemies, knock them back, and do all sorts of other cool stuff. and, of course, there will be single-player and pvp modes, because what's a card game without a little competition?
