omg, you guys, i just heard about this new game called rogue carrier and i am so hyped. it's like a mix of strategy and exploration, where you get to captain this huge research ship on a planet with crazy sea creatures. i mean, who wouldn't want to sail around a boiling ocean filled with violent squid?

so, from what i've seen, you get to control the ship itself, plotting out routes and managing resources, but you also get to take control of smaller vehicles and planes to scout out the surroundings. and then there's this tetris-like building mechanic where you have to fit different factory buildings onto the ship's deck, which unlocks new resources and production lines. it's like a big puzzle, and i love it.

one of the things that really caught my attention is the combat system, which looks like a mix of autobattler and good old-fashioned shooting. you've got turrets on the ship that blast away at hostile sea creatures, and it looks like so much fun. and, of course, being a roguelite, there are these event cards that give you tough choices to make, which can have some pretty harsh consequences.

i have to say, i'm getting some serious nostalgic vibes from this game, reminding me of old-school classics like hostile waters. it's not just the whole "captaining a ship" thing, but the way you can switch between different perspectives and control different vehicles. it's like they took all the best parts of those old games and mashed them together with some new ideas.
