omg, you guys, i just saw the craziest mod for stardew valley - it's in 3d! i know, i know, it sounds amazing, but hear me out. at first, it's really cool to see the game's cute art style in 3d, but then it starts to get a little... unsettling. everything in the game, from plants to decorations, is still 2d, but it's all swiveling to face you as you move around. it's like, yeah, i get it, it's just a temporary thing until the modder can give everything its own 3d model, but still, it's kind of creepy.



i love how the modder is experimenting with this, though. it's not every day you see someone try to turn a 2d game into a 3d one, and it's definitely impressive. the video shows the modder walking around their house, interacting with npcs, and even harvesting blueberries, which is actually really delightful. but then you notice the house in the background, and it's like, whoa, it's watching you too. i don't know, maybe i'm just being paranoid, but it's a little unnerving.



i'm also really excited to see that the mod is compatible with vr, which is just, wow. i can imagine how immersive it would be to play stardew valley in vr, surrounded by all the cute animals and plants. but, at the same time, i'm not sure if i'm ready for all the swiveling sprites just yet. preorders are available at major retailers, but i don't think the mod is out yet, which is probably for the best. i need some time to
