omg, you guys, i just found out about this game called hallow blade and it's like a love letter to from software fans. it's a first-person dark fantasy action adventure where you play as a knight who's teamed up with a magical sword that eats souls - yeah, it sounds pretty wild. the goal is to feed this sword enough souls to lift the curse that's affecting the kingdom, but i'm not sure if that's going to be a good idea or not.

the game's world is supposed to be this huge, interconnected place with all these different environments like forests, crypts, and castles. from the screenshots, it looks like they've taken inspiration from some of the best from software games - i can see bits of elden ring, bloodborne, and even some dark souls in there. i'm not complaining, though - the places they've created are gorgeous and super atmospheric.

one of the things that caught my eye was the traversal system - you can do all this cool parkour stuff and use a grapple to swing around and attack enemies. the enemies themselves look pretty interesting, too - there are these weird skeleton creatures that are made up of like, a dozen human heads all mushed together. it's pretty gross, but in a good way, you know? the combat seems solid, too - you've got your usual parry, strafe, and swing moves, and you can use magic rings to customize your playstyle.

i'm a bit underwhelmed by some of the enemy designs, but i think the game's got a lot of potential. the developer, xekvera, is talking about how you'll be able to explore the world, find shortcuts, and restore clocktowers to create fast-travel points.Read more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
