so i just heard about this super shady situation with gunzilla games, the devs behind off the grid and some other stuff. apparently, they've been having some major issues with paying their staff, and we're talking months without a paycheck for some people. that's just wild to me, i mean, how are you supposed to live without getting paid for your work?

i guess the whole thing started coming to light on linkedin, where some former employees started speaking out about not getting paid. one guy, paul creamer, said he hadn't been paid since october 2025, which is just crazy. he also said that the ceo, vlad korolev, had promised them that they'd get paid as soon as possible, but that was basically a lie. it sounds like the company is just trying to silence them and hope they go away, which is really not cool.

the ceo did respond to all this, saying that they're not just delaying payments to whoever, and that they're going to honor all their obligations. but at the same time, he's also saying that there's this "narrative" about unpaid contractors that's coming from "haters" who want the studio to fail. which, okay, maybe there are some people out there who don't like gunzilla, but it's hard to blame them when they're not paying their staff. it's not like these people are just making this up, they're sharing their own experiences and it's pretty damning.
