omg, you guys, guild wars 3 is finally happening and i am beyond hyped. it's been years since we've had any real news about the series, and now that it's been announced at summer game fest, i can barely contain my excitement. the best part? it's not going to have some annoying battle pass or subscription model that just feels like a way to suck more money out of us.



i mean, think about it - so many games these days are all about keeping you hooked with constant updates and loot boxes, but guild wars 3 is taking a different approach. the studio lead at arenanet basically said they don't want to "keep people hostage" with some exploitative monetization scheme, and i am so here for that. it's refreshing to see a game that just wants to be enjoyed, without all the extra baggage.



so, when can we expect to get our hands on guild wars 3? well, it's looking like the beta is going to drop in fall 2027, which is still a bit of a wait, but i'm okay with that if it means the game is going to be amazing. and who knows, maybe by then we'll have even more information about the story and gameplay, which is still pretty under wraps at this point. all i know is that it's been 20 years since the series started, and i'm hoping they do something really special with this new installment.
