omg, have you guys heard the news about the god of war live-action show? apparently, dave bautista, aka drax from guardians of the galaxy, is in talks to play kratos. i'm still trying to wrap my head around it, but it's definitely an interesting choice. i mean, bautista has the whole rugged, tough guy vibe going on, which could work really well for the role.



so, what happened is that the original actor cast as kratos, ryan hurst, got injured on set and won't be able to continue filming for a while. amazon decided to recast the role, and it looks like bautista might be the one to take over. i'm not sure how i feel about it, but i do think bautista has shown his action chops in the marvel movies, so maybe he'll surprise us.



it's also worth noting that bautista has worked with amazon before, on movies like the wrecking crew and my spy, so there's already a connection there. and, fun fact, he's also going to be in some other amazon productions soon, like road house 2 and highlander. anyway, back to the god of war show - apparently, they'd already filmed four episodes before hurst got hurt, and production is supposed to start up again in october.



but that's not all - there are also some other casting calls going out for the show, including for a teenage atreus and thor's daughter thrud. which is weird, because they've already cast a 12-year-old actor as atreus, so maybe this is for a second series or something? i don't know, but i'm definitely curious to see how it all plays out. andRead more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
