omg, you guys, i just found out about this insane mod for gta: san andreas that's basically a full-on crossover with manhunt. it's called gta: carcer city, and it's a total conversion mod that turns the original manhunt game into an open-world crime sim. i mean, i've never actually played manhunt before, but i've heard of it - it's one of those super dark and twisted games that rockstar used to make back in the day.



anyway, this mod is seriously ambitious - it recreates all of the original manhunt levels and expands on the story and world in a huge way. the modders have said that less than 10 percent of the map is from the original manhunt, which is crazy - that means they've basically built an entire new city from scratch. and it looks gorgeous, too - the city is inspired by places like cleveland and detroit, so it's got that gritty industrial feel that i love.



the story of the mod is pretty cool, too - it follows this character liam o'mulligan, who used to be a detective but got kicked off the force. now he's just trying to make a living by taking on shady jobs, but things start to go wrong and he gets pulled into this whole underworld of crime and corruption. it sounds like a really compelling narrative, and i love that the modders have taken the original manhunt characters and woven them into their own story.
