so, you've probably heard the rumors about gta 6 by now - it's supposed to be this massive game with a development budget of over $1 billion. that's a lot of cash, and it's no surprise that rockstar games is being super careful about how they release it. recently, sony announced a marketing deal with rockstar to promote gta 6 on the playstation 5, which is pretty cool if you're a ps5 owner.

i'm a bit curious about what this means for pc players, though. the head of take-two, strauss zelnick, made some comments that implied pc might not be rockstar's "core" audience, which is a bit weird. i mean, i know rockstar has a huge following on console, but pc players are still a big part of the gaming community. i'm hoping this doesn't mean we'll get a lackluster port or anything.

anyway, gta 6 is still a ways off, and we don't even have a price point yet. there were some rumors about it costing $100, but take-two is being tight-lipped about the whole thing. they just say that they're going to charge "way, way, way less" than the game's actual value, which is... vague, to say the least. preorders are available at major retailers, if you're interested in picking up a copy as soon as it drops.
