omg, you guys, the tomb raider series is like, everywhere right now. i just saw that the 2013 reboot is getting a physical release on the switch 2, courtesy of limited run games. i'm kinda stoked about this, since i've always loved lara croft's adventures. the fact that it's a definitive edition is pretty cool too - i'm hoping it'll come with all the bells and whistles.



i have to admit, the timing of this release is pretty interesting. with the netflix series dropping soon, it seems like square enix is trying to get tomb raider back on everyone's radar. and it's not just the netflix show - there's also an animated adaptation in the works, which i'm super curious about. i mean, who wouldn't want to see lara croft in a whole new animated world?



anyway, back to the switch 2 release. i'm not sure what the exact details are, but i'm assuming it'll come with all the same features as the original game. preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're a fan of the series, you might want to check it out. the price hasn't been announced yet, but i'm hoping it'll be reasonably priced. it's also worth noting that this release is part of tomb raider's 25th anniversary celebration, which is pretty cool.
