omg, you guys, have you heard about the new god of war game, laufey? it's pretty cool, but also super controversial. apparently, some people are freaking out because it's not about kratos, the usual main character, but about a female protagonist instead. i mean, i get it, change can be weird, but come on, it's not like the game is going to be bad just because of that.



deborah ann woll, the actress playing laufey, is actually really chill about all the hate she's been getting online. she said she's not bothered by it, which is pretty awesome. i love that she's just focused on the game being great, and not letting the trolls bring her down. i'm definitely curious to see how the game turns out, especially since it's going back to a more traditional combat system.



i have to admit, i was a bit surprised when i saw the reveal trailer for laufey. it's definitely different from the other god of war games, but in a good way, i think. the idea of exploring the afterlife with a weird cube companion sounds like so much fun. and who knows, maybe this is just what the series needs - a fresh start with a new character. plus, sony santa monica has promised that kratos will be back in future games, so it's not like he's gone for good.
