omg, you guys, have you heard about the new god of war game, laufey? it's all about faye, kratos' wife from the 2018 reboot, and i am so stoked. the reveal was insane, and i loved seeing faye as the main character - it's about time she got her own game.



what's really cool is that this idea isn't new at all - apparently, cory barlog, the director of the god of war series, was talking about it back in 2018. deborah ann woll, the actress who plays faye, said that barlog pitched the idea to her nearly 10 years ago, and he even had a poster for the game with a weird, talking jelly cube called phranque. i mean, who comes up with this stuff? it's so quirky and amazing.



i love how much thought and planning has gone into laufey - it's clear that the team at sony santa monica has been working on this for ages. and the tech they're using is insane - woll was talking about the motion capture stuff, and how it can pick up even the tiniest facial movements. it's crazy to think that all those little details are going to make the game feel so much more realistic and immersive.
