so i just heard the news about overwatch's season 2 updates and i'm kinda mixed about it. basically, blizzard is changing the map voting system to favor the most popular maps even more. i mean, we all know that king's row is always going to be a top pick, but now it's going to be even harder to get a different map.

i'm not sure how i feel about this, to be honest. on one hand, it's nice that the majority of players will get to play on their favorite maps. but on the other hand, it's going to get so repetitive. i love playing on some of the lesser-known maps, like flashpoint, just because it's a nice change of pace. but i guess those days are behind us now.

the one thing that might make this update slightly more bearable is the new "random" option that's being added to the map voting screen. but let's be real, who's actually going to choose that when they could just play on king's row again? it's just human nature to stick with what you know and love, right? and the fact that the system will now prefer maps you've voted for in the past is kinda cool, i guess. but it's not like it's going to make a huge difference or anything.

one thing that blizzard is trying to do to mix things up is make it less punishing to play on new or reworked maps in competitive mode. so if you lose on one of those maps, it won't hurt your rank as much. which is nice, i suppose. but i'm not convinced it's going to make people more willing to try out new maps. i mean, we all know that competitive mode is all about being consistent and winning,Read more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
