so i just heard that xbox game pass lost a ton of subscribers after they raised their prices last year - like, millions of people just stopped using it. that's pretty wild, right? i mean, i've used game pass before and it's actually really cool, but if the price isn't right, i can see why people would jump ship.

i'm not sure what's going on with xbox, but it seems like they're trying to win people back. their new boss, asha sharma, is talking about partnering with discord and stuff, which could be kinda cool, i guess. and they just announced a price cut, which is definitely a step in the right direction. i'm not sure if it's enough to get all those subscribers back, but it's a start, right?

i've been thinking about this whole console thing, and i saw this survey that said people mostly play on consoles because of exclusive games. that makes sense, i mean, i love playing games that you can't get anywhere else. but at the same time, i feel like there's more to it than that. like, don't people also play on consoles because of the community and the overall experience? i don't know, maybe that's just me.
anyway, it seems like xbox is trying to get back on track, and i'm curious to see what they'll do next. i've heard rumors that they might change how they do day one access to games like call of duty on game pass, which could be a big deal. preorders are available at major retailers, if you're into that sort of thing. we'll just have to wait and see what happens, i guess.
