so, the game is being developed by this small norwegian team called carbonara games, and it's being published by 11 bit studios, which is the same studio behind frostpunk. they're known for making some pretty interesting games, so i'm hoping crop will live up to that. from what i've seen, the gameplay is all about farming, but with a narrative twist. you play as this guy who's been forced to take over a decrepit farm, and you have to grow food for the local townspeople while also trying to figure out what's going on in the town.

the farming mechanics seem pretty detailed, with things like clearing roughage and managing compost heaps, which is cool. but what really catches my attention is the whole mystery aspect of the game. you have to talk to the townspeople, who are all pretty eccentric, and try to uncover their secrets. it's like, you're not just farming, you're also detective-ing. and the atmosphere of the game is just so cool - it's all grey and green and misty, with this watercoloured art style that's kinda similar to breath of the wild.
