so, forza horizon 6 is finally on the horizon, and i'm super stoked to dive into its new japan map - apparently, it's the series' best yet. i mean, who doesn't love the idea of racing through tokyo's streets, right? the game's setting is pretty much the only thing that's changed since forza horizon 5, but hey, that's a pretty big deal if you ask me.

the new map is all about tokyo, and it's crazy detailed - we're talking narrow lanes, wide arterial roads, and even the iconic shuto expressway threading its way through the city. i love how the game's devs, playground games, have managed to capture the different levels of urban density, making the city feel actually alive. and, of course, there are plenty of nods to japanese culture, from ev charging stations to sushi trains - it's like they've thought of everything.

now, i know some people might be a bit miffed that the gameplay itself hasn't changed all that much, but personally, i'm okay with that. i mean, the formula works, right? and with over 550 cars to choose from (though, sadly, only three were available in the preview build i played), i'm not exactly lacking in options. plus, the xp system is still all about rewarding you for, well, basically everything - crashing into things, narrowly avoiding crashes, and, you know, actually racing well.
