omg, you guys, i just heard that epic games is offering refunds for those d4vd cosmetics in fortnite. if you're not aware, d4vd is a singer who was pretty popular in the gaming scene, especially after he started posting fortnite gameplay vids with his own music. but things took a dark turn when he was charged with murder - yeah, it's crazy.

apparently, epic games is allowing players to get a self-service refund for any d4vd cosmetics they've purchased. this is definitely a good move, considering the whole situation is just really messed up. i mean, i get that the items and music are still available in the game for now, but i'm not sure how long that's gonna last. epic hasn't said anything about removing them entirely, but i wouldn't be surprised if they do eventually.

i've seen some people arguing that the items should be removed from the game completely, and honestly, i kinda agree. i know some people are saying "innocent until proven guilty" and all that, but let's be real, fortnite is a huge commercial game and it's all about reputation. epic's already shown that they're willing to pull problematic content in the past, like that one emote that was apparently pro-nazi.

it's also worth noting that d4vd's been dropped by his record label and some of the singers he's collaborated with are removing their joint works from streaming platforms. it's pretty clear that his music career is basically over, at least for now. preorders are available at major retailers, but i'm not sure if anyone's really gonna be buying his music anymore.
