omg, guys, you won't believe the latest news about destiny 2 - the game is basically done, and now bungie is having a huge round of layoffs. this is super sad because i know so many people who are obsessed with this game, and now the team that made it is getting cut down.

apparently, the last big update for destiny 2 dropped a couple of weeks ago, and now bungie is saying that they can't keep the studio running at its current size. this means that a lot of people who worked on destiny 2 are losing their jobs, which is just heartbreaking. i can only imagine how tough this must be for them and their families. bungie is saying that they need to make these changes to set themselves up for the future, but it's hard not to feel like the company is just abandoning the people who made their game so successful.

it's not just the destiny 2 team that's getting hit, either - some people from the marathon team and even some sony interactive entertainment devs are also getting laid off. marathon is this other game that bungie is working on, and it's supposed to be pretty cool, but now i'm worried about its future. the ceo of sony interactive entertainment said that marathon is still important to them, though, so maybe it'll be okay.
