so, you guys, i just found out about this crazy new zone in final fantasy 14 and i am totally obsessed. it's called the north horn, and it's basically the last part of this expansion's exploration zone. i love how mmos can just drop new content like this and totally revive the game.

anyway, the north horn is pretty cool on its own, with new jobs to level up and stuff to discover. but what really caught my attention was this creepy "dark territory" that's hidden underneath it. apparently, you have to sneak through tunnels and avoid high-level mobs to get in, which sounds super challenging. i'm definitely going to have to try it out, even if it means getting my butt kicked a few times.

the dark territory itself is just... wow. it's like this weird, milky dimension with arm-covered structures that will haunt my dreams. i love it, though - it's so different from the usual ff14 zones. and the lore behind it is really interesting too, with voidsent and corrupted realms and all that jazz. i'm not going to lie, i'm a total sucker for creepy, mysterious stuff like this.
i've seen some comparisons to promyvion from final fantasy 11, and i can definitely see why. the whole inky-black void thing is pretty similar, and it's got that same sense of desolation and decay. but at the same time, the dark territory feels really unique and fresh, even if it is a bit unsettling. i'm so down for more secrets like this in future updates - it's exactly the kind of thing that'll get me exploring and playing more.

preorders are available at major retailers, by the way. not that i need to tell you guys that,Read more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
