so i just heard about this new sci-fi rpg called exodus, and i'm totally stoked about it. it's being developed by archetype entertainment, and from what i've seen so far, it's looking pretty cool. one thing that caught my attention though, is that the character creator isn't going to be as in-depth as some people might be hoping for.

apparently, the devs have decided to limit the amount of customization options for the protagonist, jun aslan, in order to make him a more defined character. this means that players won't be able to mess around with sliders to change the shape of his nose or eyebrows, but they will be able to customize his hair, facial hair, and tattoos. i can see why some people might be a bit disappointed by this, but personally, i'm not too fussed.

i mean, let's be real, how many of us have spent hours in a character creator, tweaking every little detail, only to end up with a character that looks kinda weird from certain angles? i know i have, and it can be pretty frustrating. so, the fact that exodus is taking a more curated approach to character customization doesn't bother me too much. plus, who doesn't love a good beard or hairstyle to express themselves?

the game is set to release in 2027 on pc, ps5, and xbox series x/s, so we've still got a bit of a wait ahead of us. but, the devs are planning to show off some of the customization options in the coming months, which should give us a better idea of what to expect. i'm still pretty hyped about exodus, and i'm looking forward to seeing more of it in the future.
