omg, you guys, evercade just dropped some major news - they're releasing a brand new retro gaming handheld called the nexus, and it's looking like a total game changer. i mean, we're talking analogue sticks, which is a huge deal for playing those classic 3d games that are so much harder to control with just a d-pad.

so, the nexus is basically the next gen version of the exp-r, and it's set to launch this october. it's got a bunch of new features that are supposed to make it way more awesome, like a bigger and brighter screen - we're talking 5.98 inches and 500 nits of brightness, which is a major upgrade from the exp-r's 4.3 inch screen. and, of course, those analogue sticks are going to make all the difference for games like banjo-kazooie and banjo-tooie, which are actually bundled in with the nexus.

i'm also super stoked about the wireless game sharing feature, which lets you play multiplayer games with a friend who also has a nexus, without needing a second cartridge. it's just so much more convenient, you know? and the fact that it's got wifi 6 support and front-facing stereo speakers is just the icing on the cake. plus, it's got textured trigger controls, which i've heard are really nice to use.

now, i know some of you might be wondering about the battery life, and apparently it's supposed to last around five hours, which is pretty decent. it also comes with a usb-c cable for charging, which is always a plus. and, as for the price, the standard edition nexus is going to set you back £169.99/€199.99/$199.99Read more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
