omg, you guys, i just found out that erik wolpaw, the co-writer of portal and portal 2, is literally obsessed with slay the spire - he's got over 1,500 hours clocked in. like, what even is that? i know i've sunk a lot of time into my fave games, but that's just insane. apparently, he loves it because it's got the perfect amount of strategy and decision-making for his brain, which is pretty cool.

so, a bit about erik wolpaw - he's been in the gaming scene for ages, and used to be a journalist and critic. he even co-founded this legendary website called old man murray, which is pretty cool. he's worked on some amazing games, including half-life 2, team fortress 2, and of course, portal and portal 2. he's also written for other valve games like left 4 dead and artifact. it's pretty clear that he's super passionate about gaming, and it's awesome to see him geeking out over slay the spire.

anyway, back to slay the spire - wolpaw's been playing the new version, slay the spire 2, and he's absolutely loving it. he's been playing both solo and co-op with his son, which is super cute. apparently, the co-op mode is a lot of fun, although he thinks it might be a bit unbalanced at the moment. still, he's having a blast, and it's great to see him enjoying the game so much. i'm definitely tempted to check it out now, especially since it's got that whole roguelike vibe going on.
