omg, you guys, i just tried the demo for this super quirky game called future? no thanks! and i'm kinda obsessed. it's an open world comedy where you play as harvey, a grumpy old boomer who's stuck in a world that's literally a leftwing paradise. i mean, who wouldn't want to explore a city with sentient toilets and cannabis vending machines, right?



the game is basically a satire that pokes fun at both the right and left, and i love how it's not just a lecture or a one-sided thing. the devs, molleindustria, seem to be going for this really acerbic tone that's both funny and thought-provoking. the game's got a really unique vibe, with smooth 3d visuals that remind me of those chill, indie games i used to play on my laptop. and the best part? it runs on pretty modest hardware, so you don't need a super powerful pc to play it.



so, the story is that harvey has applied for euthanasia because he's just so done with this wholesome world he lives in. but to prove that he's not just being impulsive, he's got to complete this bucket list of stuff that's been generated by some ai thingy. it's actually really funny because the list is just so... bland, i guess. like, he wants to have a cigar and a coke, and eat a "real" steak. but the thing is, this world has abolished intensive animal agriculture, so beef steaks are hard to find. it's little details like that which make the game so charming.
