so i just found out that elon musk thinks gabe newell is a total rockstar, and i'm kinda loving it. apparently, newell was one of the top suggestions for openai's board members back in 2018, and musk gave him a big thumbs up. i mean, who wouldn't want gabe newell on their team, right? he's the co-founder of valve, and let's be real, half-life is a classic.



anyway, it turns out that newell was pretty involved with openai from the start, and even donated a whopping $20 million to the company. he was also part of their "informal advisory board" and even tried to arrange a tour of spacex for hideo kojima, which is just cool. i love that newell is still all about the gaming community, even if he is hanging out on his superyacht these days.



but what's really interesting is the drama between elon musk and jeff bezos. musk is apparently not a fan of bezos or his space exploration company, blue origin. he thinks bezos is "clueless" about how far behind he is, and that blue origin is pretty much hopeless. ouch, that's some serious shade. musk even went so far as to say that bezos is constantly overestimating his abilities and underestimating spacex.
