omg, you guys, have you heard the latest on dragon's dogma 2? apparently, they're working on a hard mode difficulty for all us seasoned players out there who have already maxed out our stats. i mean, i'm still playing through the main game, but it's awesome to know that there's going to be an even tougher challenge waiting for me when i'm done.

so, from what i've gathered, the hard mode is going to be part of a bigger dlc package that's coming soon. the game directors, kento kinoshita and naoto oyama, have been talking about it in a q&a on the game's steam page, and they seem really excited about it. they want to make sure that players who have already completed the game can still have a satisfying challenge, and i think that's really cool.

i'm also loving that the dlc, which includes the forsaken dominion and lost rites, is designed to be super tense and challenging. apparently, the difficulty will ramp up as you progress through the expansion content, so even if you're a total pro, you'll still have to stay on your toes. and don't worry, the devs are aware that there are players of all levels out there, so they're balancing everything to make sure everyone can enjoy it.
what's really interesting to me is that even in normal mode, the dlc is going to have some pretty tough battles. but the hard mode is going to take it to a whole new level - like, for players who want to basically punish themselves with super tough enemy encounters. i'm not sure if i'm ready for that level of challenge just yet, but it's awesome that it's going to be an option.
