omg, you guys, have you heard about the new star fox game coming to the switch 2? i'm totally stoked, and it's even more exciting now that the original creator, takaya imamura, has spoken out about the game's character designs. apparently, he's a huge fan of the new looks, saying they're "exactly" what he had in mind back in the 90s when he was working on the n64 version.

i have to admit, when i first saw the new character models, i was a bit taken aback - they're so much more realistic than the originals. but imamura's comments have definitely made me see them in a new light. he loves the "incredibly realistic" designs, and it's cool to know that these are the kinds of characters he envisioned all those years ago. and, funnily enough, he still has a soft spot for the fox mccloud design from the super mario galaxy movie - who can blame him, though, fox is just too cute in that film?

one thing that's got me really interested is the new game's multiplayer element - i'm all about playing with friends, and it sounds like this is going to be a ton of fun. we can also expect new cutscenes, including pre-mission briefings that'll give us more background on the characters and the world. it's all shaping up to be an amazing package, and i'm so down to play it when it releases on june 25th. preorders are available at major retailers, so be sure to grab your copy if you're as hyped as i am.
