omg, you guys, have you heard about the new super mario galaxy movie? it's finally out, and i am beyond excited to dive into the world of mario once again. but what's really got me curious is the whole idea of a potential super smash bros. film - like, can you even imagine how epic that would be?

apparently, though, nintendo's shigeru miyamoto and illumination's ceo chris meledandri have both said that's not something we should be expecting anytime soon. they're not trying to build some huge cinematic universe like marvel did with the avengers, at least not yet. miyamoto even mentioned that he doesn't think all nintendo characters would be joining forces in a movie like that, which is kind of a bummer, but also makes sense.

what's cool, though, is that the movie teams are having fun with little secret cameos and character appearances. miyamoto talked about how they have so many awesome characters in the mario world, and they wanted to add a little spice to the movie with some surprise appearances. and, of course, there's a secret character that's supposed to play a big role - i'm dying to know who it is! the movie execs seem to be taking a more casual approach to planning these things, just having conversations about what would be fun in certain scenes, rather than mapping out some huge master plan.

the super mario galaxy movie is out now, and it's got an amazing cast of characters, including some retro enemies like wart and birdo. i'm so down to see how it all plays out, and maybe we'll even get some hints about future movies or crossovers. preorders aren't really a thing nowRead more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
