so, you guys heard about aion 2, right? it's the sequel to the original aion, and it's set 200 years after the first game. i've been hearing mixed things about it, mostly because of the microtransaction stuff. but, despite all the drama, it's actually doing pretty well and it's coming to steam this year.

i'm kinda curious to see how it'll do globally, since it's already been out in korea and taiwan since last year. the devs, ncsoft, had to apologize for the state of the game at launch, which is never a good sign. they promised to change things up, but i'm not holding my breath. i mean, it's a free-to-play mmo, so there's bound to be some pay to win elements, right?

apparently, the game made a ton of money in its first month and a half, like $68 million, and it has over 1 million subscribers. that's pretty crazy, and it just goes to show that even with all the controversy, people are still playing and paying. the devs are aiming for a global release, which includes north america, south america, japan, and europe, and it'll have a bunch of language options, including english, french, german, and more.
