so i just heard that the devs behind the new james bond game, 007: first light, are actually having a pretty smooth time working with amazon mgm, which is kinda surprising given all the drama that's been going on with the live-action bond franchise. apparently, the game's art director, rasmus poulsen, said that it's been "surprisingly straightforward" to work with them, which is pretty cool.

i think what's really interesting here is that the devs did a lot of "dna work" to figure out what makes bond tick, and that made it easier for them to have conversations with amazon mgm and other partners. they basically did their homework and were super clear about what they wanted to achieve with their version of bond, which is a more youthful take on the character. it's like they were able to speak the same language, you know?

it's also kinda funny that the game devs are setting the tone for the bond franchise right now, since the live-action side of things is still stuck in limbo. i mean, we've got denis villeneuve and stephen knight on board, but it's been ages since we've heard any real updates. and now there are rumors that amazon mgm is just fed up with the whole thing, which is pretty sad. but hey, at least the game is looking promising, right?

i'm really curious to see how 007: first light turns out, especially since it's got a more youthful vibe. i love that they're trying to do something different with the character, and i think it could be really refreshing. preorders are available at major retailers, so i might have to check it out when it drops. has anyone else been following this game, or are you more of aRead more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
