so i just got my hands on the dell pro 5 webcam and i'm kinda torn about it. on one hand, it's got some pretty sweet features like windows hello and a solid sony sensor that makes my hair look fab. but on the other hand, the design is just... meh. it's chunky and sturdy, which is cool, but the magnetic stand is kinda flimsy and the tethered cable is just annoying.

one of the things that really stood out to me was the image quality. it's 1440p, which is pretty great, but the colors are just a bit off. like, my red hair streak looks more orange than red, and the colors in my background are all washed out. i know it's not a huge deal, but it's just one of those things that bugs me. and the worst part is, you can't really adjust the settings to fix it. the dell software is easy to use, but the presets are all kinda weird and the manual adjustments just make it look like you're slapping a brightness filter on everything.

i've been comparing it to some other webcams, like the razer kiyo v2 x, and i think the dell pro 5 is just a bit overpriced. it's $120, which is $20 more than the kiyo v2 x, and i'm just not sure it's worth it. i mean, the kiyo v2 x has some pretty cool features too, and it's just... nicer to use, you know? the dell pro 5 has some good stuff going for it, like the windows hello and the sony sensor, but it's just not enough to justify the price.
