omg, you guys, there's this new game coming out called sandustry and it's literally all about digging up sand and building factories on a procedural planet. i know what you're thinking, sand isn't exactly the most exciting thing, but trust me, this game looks kinda cool. it's like a mix of terraria and those crazy factory sims where you have to manage all these complex production chains.

so, sandustry is coming out on steam, gog, and the microsoft store on august 13th, which is pretty soon. the devs, lantto games and hooded horse, are saying that players will get to explore this whole planet, digging deep and building up their factories to harvest all sorts of resources. and the best part is, everything is made up of these tiny pixels with their own physics, so it's like a big sandbox (heh, get it?) where you can experiment and build whatever you want.

i love that the game has this whole thermodynamics system, where fluids can evaporate and form rain clouds and stuff. it adds this whole extra layer of realism to the game, you know? and the graphics are pretty cute, too - all pixelated and colorful. i'm a bit worried that it might get too complicated, but the devs seem to be going for this whole "labyrinthine" vibe, like noita, which is definitely intriguing.

apparently, there's still a demo available if you want to try it out, which is always a good idea. i'm thinking of checking it out, just to see how it plays. preorders are available at major retailers, if you're already sold on the game. anyway, i'll be keeping an eye on sandustry - it might just be the perfect game forRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
