omg, you guys, i just heard the most sketchy thing about hasbro, the company behind dungeons & dragons and magic: the gathering. apparently, they're trying to get child actors from peppa pig to sign over the rights to their voices to be used by ai. like, what even is that? it's already super creepy to think about ai voices, but getting kids involved is just wrong.

i don't know all the details, but from what i've read, hasbro is trying to get these kids to agree to let their voices be used in all sorts of commercial stuff, and they're being pretty pushy about it. the agents of young performers association wrote an open letter about it, and it's got a ton of signatures from people in the industry who are just as grossed out as i am. hasbro's response was basically just a bunch of corporate nonsense about how they care about kids and are being responsible, but it doesn't really address the issue at hand.

it's not like this is the first time hasbro's done something shady, either. they've been in the news for all sorts of stuff over the past few years, from laying off employees to trying to shut down people who got magic: the gathering cards early. and now this? it just seems like they're not really concerned with doing what's right, as long as they're making money. and it's not just about hasbro, either - this whole thing has bigger implications for the gaming industry as a whole. like, what's to stop other companies from trying to do the same thing?
