omg, you guys, have you heard the news? the 7th guest, this super old-school cd-rom adventure game, is getting a remake and it's coming out in june. i'm talking june 4th, to be exact, and it's going to be available on xbox series x/s, ps5, and pc. there's even a switch version in the works, although that one's coming out a bit later.

i have to admit, i've never actually played the original game, but i've heard so many stories about it from my friends who are total retro gaming enthusiasts. apparently, it was a huge deal back in the day, with its pre-rendered environments and live-action cutscenes. it was like, this whole new level of immersion that people hadn't seen before. and even though the gameplay itself might not have been the best, the atmosphere and music were supposed to be totally on point.

so, the remake is being developed by vertigo games, and from what i can tell, it's basically an adaptation of their vr version of the game that came out in 2023. that one was a full-on remake with new 3d environments and live-action characters that you could walk around and interact with. and apparently, it was really good, with some clever puzzles and a super spooky atmosphere. the only downside was that they didn't include the original soundtrack, which is a bit of a bummer.

anyway, the remake is going to be available on steam, ps5, and xbox series x/s, with a switch version coming later. and the best part? it's only $19.99 usd, which is a total steal. plus, if you already own the vr version on steam or psRead more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
