so, by god alone is coming out in q3 2026, and it's going to introduce a bunch of new mechanics, including something called rites, which are like localized variations of religious practices. this means that different regions will have their own unique twists on Christianity, and it'll be up to you to navigate all the complexities and potential heresies. and, of course, you'll finally be able to play as the pope, which is just amazing. i mean, can you imagine being able to excommunicate your enemies and start your own schisms? it's like, the ultimate game of medieval politics.



but that's not all, folks. the second expansion, silk & silver, is coming out in q4 2026, and it's all about trade and commerce. you'll get to establish your own merchant republic, complete with trade routes, monopolies, and all the backroom dealings you can handle. it's like, a whole new way to play the game, and i am so down for it. i love the idea of building up my own trading empire and competing with other families to be the most powerful. and, of course, there are all the usual perks, like passing laws and setting the constitution of your republic.
