so i've been playing crimson desert for a bit now, and i have to say, the story is kinda... meh. it's not that it's bad or anything, but it just doesn't really stick with you, you know? apparently, the devs over at pearl abyss feel the same way, because they're planning to tweak the narrative to make it more engaging.

from what i've heard, they're looking to "strengthen the narrative flow" in the coming months, which sounds like a pretty good idea to me. i mean, who doesn't love a good story, right? and it's not like they're just stopping at tweaking the story, either - they're also teasing some proper dlc, which could be pretty cool. i'm definitely curious to see what they have in store for us.

one thing that's already been announced, though, is some new endgame content. we're talking boss rematches and enemy reinforcements, which sounds like a lot of fun. and, because why not, they're also making some of the game's environments even more gorgeous. i mean, have you seen pywel's distant towers? they're already pretty stunning, but apparently they're about to get even sexier.

i've also been reading some interviews with the former creative head of avalanche, the studio behind just cause, and it's pretty interesting. apparently, they had a game in the works called aionguard, which was all about riding dragons and stuff. it sounds like it would have been pretty similar to crimson desert, which is wild. anyway, that game got canned, but it's cool to think about what could have been.
