okay, so i just heard about this game called crimson desert and i'm low-key obsessed with how weird it is. apparently, it's all about exploring a huge open world as a scottish guy and his friends, and sometimes they even go on adventures in space. i mean, what's not to love about that?

i was reading this interview with dinga bakaba, who's a big deal at arkane lyon and worked on the dishonored games. he's basically saying that crimson desert does everything backwards compared to other games. like, usually you start off feeling all magical and excited, but then as you play more, you start to see the behind-the-scenes stuff and it gets less cool. but crimson desert is the opposite - it throws all the gamey stuff at you right from the start, and then as you get deeper into it, the magic kicks in and it gets really immersive.

i haven't played the game myself, but from what i've heard, it's kinda like a board game in that way. you know, when you first start playing a board game, you're all about the rules and the pieces and the board, but then as you get into it, you start to forget about all that and just have fun. bakaba says that's what crimson desert is like, and i'm pretty intrigued by that idea. plus, i've heard that the game has this really cool thing where it keeps its secrets hidden at first, and then as you play more, you start to uncover all these cool details and schemes.

one thing that's got me laughing is that apparently, some players get really into abducting goats in the game. like, who wouldn't want to steal goats in a video game? it sounds so ridiculous and amazing atRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
