omg, you guys, i just found out about this amazing pitch for a total war game based on the redwall books. it's not an actual game, sadly, but just a really cool idea that someone shared on reddit. the person behind it, buildingairships, has been working on this concept for a few months now, and it's seriously impressive.

one of the things that caught my attention is the cooking and feasting system they've come up with. apparently, certain dishes like deeper 'n ever turnip 'n tater 'n beetroot pie would give your units a boost in health, armor, and defense. i mean, who wouldn't want to cook their way to victory? it's such a unique and fun idea, and i can totally see how it would add a whole new layer of strategy to the game.

the pitch also talks about incorporating role-playing elements, like heroes and quests, which sounds really cool. and the fact that they're drawing inspiration from the actual redwall books, with all the different species and locations, is just awesome. i've always loved the redwall series, and the idea of being able to explore that world in a game is just so exciting.

i've never been a huge fan of traditional strategy games, but this one sounds different. the idea of focusing on trade and resources, like roots and wild game, instead of just gold and wood, is really refreshing. and the fact that you could learn actual recipes and about foraging while playing the game is just genius. it's like a whole new way of thinking about strategy games, and i am totally here for it.
