omg, you guys, there's a rumor going around that cd projekt is working on a second multiplayer witcher game, and it's supposed to be free-to-play on mobile and pc. i'm low-key excited about this, since i've been a huge fan of the witcher series for ages. the fact that it's free-to-play is a major plus, too - i mean, who doesn't love getting to play an awesome game without having to drop a ton of cash?

apparently, this new game is set in the year 1230, which is a pretty cool time period - geralt is still a young witcher, and the world is full of monsters to hunt. the gameplay sounds pretty similar to the main series, with a focus on combat and progression systems. you'll get to take on contracts to kill monsters in different environments, and there's even a skill-based system that lets you choose abilities from different witcher schools. i love that you'll be able to create and customize your own witcher, too - that's always a fun feature in games like this.

one thing that's interesting is that this game is specifically targeting pc and mobile devices, whereas project sirius (which is another multiplayer witcher game in the works) is coming to pc and consoles. i'm not sure what to make of that, but it's possible that cd projekt wants to reach a different audience with this game. maybe they're trying to appeal to players who don't necessarily have a console, but still want to get in on the witcher action. preorders are available at major retailers, but we don't have a release date yet - fingers crossed it'll be soon.

i have to say, i'm a bit curious about the developer behind this game - weRead more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
